Judy McGrath interviewing Bella Lyall and Ellen Lyall. Bella and Ellen talk about toys and games that they had and played when they were younger.Bella had a friend named Henry who was the son of Hebron's minister and they would exchange toys and games whenever they could. Some toys were paper komatiks, dog teams made of paper with thread so the dogs could stand up, paper boats with masts on them, doll carriages, dolls made out of paper. They would play games like hide and seek, dress up, make believe and ring around the rosie. Their Uncle John [?] opened the store in Napartok. Tlka of how Bella and Ellen helped teach Uncle John how to write his name. Their family name was Metcalf. Ellen and Bella lost family during the Spanish Flu (mother father, brother, sister) They're buried in Upilichuk [sp?] all together there were 19 Eskimos died. There were people under the name Winter's that died along with people of the name of Metcalf. Talk of crafts and animal skins, and the plants they would use to dye it.
