Part of Topsail Pastoral Charge fonds

Series consists of records relating to the activities of the Ladies Aid Society and the United Church Women's Group. Their activities included fund-raising and social activities of the church. Also included is attendance record of the group at their monthly meetings.

Series consist of the following: Ladies Aid Treasurer's Book, 1935-1952; Secretary's Book, 1950-1951.

Women's Association

Sub-series consists of minutes 1960-1961; an account book 1956-1961; membership records comprising lists of Executive members 1959-1961, a list of members of the group for 1961 and miscellaneous records which consist of a Service bulletin for the Bi-annual meeting of Women's Association, St. John's Presbytery, held at Cochrane Street United Church 1957 and a short history of Women's Association of Cochrane Street United Church by Mrs. Alex Marshall 1959.

Wilson Vardy fonds

Fonds consists of diaries that give a daily account of the weather, entries and clearances of vessels at Port aux Basques, ice conditions, and sparse comments relating to the fishery and other subjects. The letter books consist of correspondence between Wilson Vardy and the Department of Lighthouses and relates to work carried out on the lights and buoys. The logbooks are an account of the oil, wicks, and glasses used and a daily record of the weather.

Fonds is arranged in three series: Diaries, 1900-1920; Letter books, 1918-1921; and Logbooks, 1904-1921.
