      General note

      Joseph “Uncle Joe” Michelin was born in Sebaskachu to Hannah Brooks and Mersai Michelin. He had two siblings named Peter and John. Joseph was one of the first people to make his trapping ground. Joseph built a home at the age of 88 near the mouth of Traverspine River and continued hunting until the age of 93.
