A Christmas tree on Christmas eve night and the minister said there was no Santa because he was sick and he was sending his fairy to give his toys for the children. The doll off the tree onto her wand to give the toys to the children. The dolls came from the minister and the mission. talking about how modern Christmases don't get children excited like when she was a child. She talks of Christmases that she and her children had together. Also talks of games and toys she had growing up. They talk of songs and singing game they use to sing.She sings some songs on recording talking of how they made snow houses and tunnels. SIDE B Doris Saunders and Judy McGrath interviewing Leo O'Brien. Talk of how he use to use dogsleds to get around. Lanse au Loup born in 1902. When he was 5 he was sent to school, he moved up the grades quickly. The teacher said that he as very smart and the teacher bought him a suit and a ribbon. Then he started to read to adults. The teacher made him promise to put the ribbon on her wreath for her grave when she passed. Talk of games and toys that he use to play when he was younger.During the summertime he would go Jigging with his brother and father. They would mark their fish by cutting throats and tails to see who had what fish.
