The fonds consists of four account books from the Fishermen's Union store at Greenspond. It includes a daybook containing accounts with the Fishermen's Union Trading Co. Ltd. (1914); men's accounts (1916); and general ledgers (1918 and 1921). The accounts list individuals from Greenspond and nearby communities who traded at the "Union Store".

The fonds consists of a single scrapbook entitled "Historical photographs and Manuscripts of Trinity, Trinity Bay, Newfoundland by Rev. Edmund Hunt, 1888-1973". The scrapbook contains photographs and historical information about Trinity and the Rev. Edmund Hunt, compiled by Reverend Hunt's daughter, Florence Murrin. The book contains a number of early photographs of Trinity as well as photographs taken by Rev. Hunt that were made into a postcard series for Trinity. The majority of the photographs were taken by Rev. Hunt. The text was compiled by Murrin, borrowing extensively from a book on Trinity authored by her father.

Fonds consist of records pertaining to the Fogo Island Pastoral Charge which includes communities of Joe Batt's Arm, Seldom-Come-By and Stag Harbour. These records relate to the activities of the Charge and its functional bodies. The majority of the records are in the form of minutes, financial records and vital statistics.

Fonds are arranged in the following series: Baptism, Marriage and Burial Records, 1860-1967; Membership Records, 1846-1949; Board and Committee Records, 1935-1972; Funds and Congregational Financial Records, 1846-1969.

Fonds consists of records relating to the functional bodies of the Charge which include various boards, committees, organizations and groups. Included are vital statistics, minutes, annual reports, financial records and publications which include a history of Methodism in Fortune.

The fonds contains deeds, conveyances and other legal documents, 1750-1866, Captains' logbooks, 1842-72 (Samuel, 1842, William the Fourth, 1852, Britain, 1853, Harriet Ridley, 1863-65, Six Brothers, 1872), and a Furness Line sailing schedule, 1928.

The legal documents provide evidence of the acquisition, transfer and subsequent loss of the family's property in Carbonear from 1834 to the 1860s. They also provide evidence of the business activities and associations of the firm of George Forward. The Captains' logbooks detail the voyages of five of the Forward's fleet of foreign-going vessels.

The records are arranged in three series: 1. Legal documents; 2. Logbooks; 3. Other material.

This oral history project resulted from a Young Canada Works Grant in Heritage Institutions awarded to the Faculty of Medicine Founders’ Archive. Two students were hired to arrange, conduct and transcribe interviews with individuals who were involved in the early days of the Medical School at Memorial University of Newfoundland, Canada. The project lasted for 11 weeks with 11 interviews conducted and transcribed and placed in the holdings of the Founders’ Archive. The archive, in the spirit of this project, has conducted further interviews in 2002 and 2003.

Fonds is composed of 15 interviews and 20 audiocassettes containing these interviews. The collection consists of the following interviews:
