Series consists of records of various boards and committees in existence in Blackhead and Western Bay circuits and charges. Included are Quarterly Official Board of the Blackhead Circuit, minutes, 1909-1929, and Western Bay, 1912-1950; Blackhead Trustee Board minutes, accounts 1897-1972. Includes insurance policies, and bill of sale of land in Blackhead 1931, Western Bay, Pew Accounts, 1937-1943, minutes and other misc records, 1936-1982; Board of Session, Blackhead Church, minutes, 1933-1967, Western Bay, Ochre Pit Cove, minutes, 1939-1965; Board of Stewards, Blackhead circuit, minutes, 1929-1967, congregational meeting minutes, 1956-1982, Western Bay, 1913-1948; Choir minutes, Blackhead, 1933-1937, attendance 1933-1937; Missionary Maintenance Committee minutes, 1962-1967; Special events, disasters, collections: minutes of one meeting, 1974, Blackhead Circuit ministerial support, 1878-1879. Also contained in the series are the records of the The Blackhead Historic Site Committee, 1982-1984. The committee was appointed by conference in 1982 to research the history of the erection of the first Methodist Church in Canada and have a suitable marker provided and dedicated. Bern Gill was appointed chairman of the committee. The 15 cm of textual records include correspondence, minutes, research material, financial records, invitations, dedication booklet and other records relating to the project.
