Collection consists of photocopy of book entitled "Captain George Cartwright and his Labrador Journal" (1911); information about George Cartwright by David Wooley; typewritten copy of a poem by George Cartwright about Labrador; lecture given by G.M Story of the Newfoundland Historical Society entitled "Old Labrador-George Cartwright, 1738-1819" (1980); excerpt from "By Great Waters" called "Too many houses, too much smoke, too many people"; excerpts from Cartwright's journals concerning gardening (1776-1786); SUNDAY PRESS article entitled "Labrador native killed by smallpox on 1773 visit to England" (1990).

8. Student Newspapers 9. Binder of miscellaneous items such as program, certificates, etc. The material covers the early beginnings of the school to its closing in 1991. It covers special events and activities in the lives of the pupils. The textual records consist of 12 school registers dating from 1949- 1980; high school club account books, scholarship chequebook noting names of winners. The photographs are of staff, student school projects, and events. The 4 videos are primary grade concerts and elementary speech night activities. The binder has samples of report cards and student transfer slips, etc. The artifacts consist of school crests, guest books, one hockey stick, hockey cup, school seal and stamp, typewriter and strap.

Collection consists of Vol 1.1, 1.2, 1.7, 1.8, 1.6, 1.10, 1.11, 1.13, 1.14, 1.16 (1968/69) of the Cartwright Courier. The Cartwright Courier was produced by volunteers and contained a variety of columns by Labrador's residents and provided news and information on Cartwright and surrounding areas as well as provincial and world news.

Collection consists of an S.O.S message written by the Davidson, Cote & Fecteau party (1939); information regarding the S.O.S. message; newspaper clipping from THE COMPASS about the Quebec Airways crash entitled "Out of the Past" by Don Morris (1980); newspaper clipping enitled "Desperate Note Last Reminder of Tragedy" (date unknown); Three letters from the Deputy Minister of Transportation, V.I. Smart to Dr. O.D. Skelton about the crash of the Quebec Airways plane (1940).

Fonds consists of 42 black and white photographs taken by Cabot during his journeys in Labrador. The photographs are part of an exhibition of 57 photographs held at the Johnson Memorial Gallery of Middlebury College in Vermont from January-February 1985. The photographs are mainly of Innu men, women and children engaged in their daily activities and of the landscape surrounding their homes.

Collection consists of 51 coloured slides, 1989-1995, depicting various scenes encountered by Green on his travels through Labrador: portraits of individuals and groups in Fox Harbour, Makkovik, Red Bay, Nain, Northwest River and Sheshatshiu; dwellings and buildings; Labrador Canoe Regatta-1993; Trappers’ Monument.

Fonds consists of 36 coloured slides taken by Ehrenberg during his stay in Labrador. The subject matter is various, including airplanes, landscapes and individual portraits.

Collection consists of 82 coloured slides depicting various scenes at the Canadian Forces Base in Goose Bay. The subjects are various including aircraft, aerial views, runways, hangars, military equipment, sports and recreation, Gosling Lake; maps, military emblems, volleyball game, Base construction –1941.
