Biografie

Richard H. Jordan, an assistant professor of anthropology at Bryn Mawr College, Pennsylvania, in the 1970's, studied the history and process of culture change of the central Labrador Eskimo through archaeological techniques.

Collection consists of a preliminary report on "Archeological Investigations of the Labrador Eskimo in Hamilton Inlet in 1973" by Richard Jordan; correspondence from Richard Jordan to THEM DAYS (1975); draft of preliminary report on "Archeological Investigations of the Labrador Eskimo in Hamilton Inlet in 1973" by Richard Jordan; Article which appeared Arctic Anthropology Vol. XV-2 entitled "Archaeological Investigations of the Hamilton Inlet Labrador Eskimo: Social and Economic Responses to European Contact" (1978) by Richard Jordan. These reports cover the time period between 1000 A.D. to the 20th century.
